PhilJobNet, the labor department’s internet-based job and applicant matching system, this week recorded 11,794 jobs, majority of which are in the business process outsourcing (BPO), sales, food, and health sectors.

The available jobs represent the top 20 vacant positions at the PhilJobNet.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III encouraged the public to make full use of the PhilJobNet’s enhanced services as it fast tracks the jobseeker’s search for jobs and the employer’s search for work force.

In a report, the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) said among the top vacancies are for the positions of call center agent – 3,592; retail associate – 1,039; salesman – 724; service crew – 724; retail trade salesman – 655; customer service assistant – 619; cashier – 515; staff nurse – 486; sales clerk – 388; and car driver – 370.

Other vacant positions are household attendant – 347; public health nurse – 297; delivery driver – 292; market salesperson – 269; non-formal education teacher – 260; bagger – 253; waiter (general) – 251; driver (government) – 250; financial/accounts specialist – 248; and food server – 215.

The job portal also lists the following job fairs for the month of May:
